Ray Halstead CPA

Ray Halstead is the Managing Partner of REH CPA, PLLC. He is a native of West Virginia where he attended Nitro High School. Upon graduating, he continued his education at Radford University where he earned his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting.

Ray began his career in Roanoke, VA working in the corporate world where he gained significant experience in the areas of materials management, cost accounting, employee benefits, and corporate taxation. In September of 2000, he was granted his CPA certificate by the Virginia Board of Accountancy. While he was pursuing his corporate career, he began building a small public practice offering individual and business tax services for friends and family. He quickly realized his love for public accounting and in 2006, he left his corporate job and moved to Mooresville to start his firm.

Ray currently holds a CPA license in both Virginia and North Carolina. He is married to Angela Halstead, who is the Office Manager here at REH. He has two young boys that keep him busy with soccer, wrestling and Cub Scouts. He is currently serving on the board of the Mooresville Soup Kitchen as the Treasurer and he is also a Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 171, both of which he is very passionate about. During the summers you can find Ray and his family on the lake swimming and boating. Ray and his family loves calling the Lake Norman community their home.
